I put a front shift kit from keisler in my T56 about a year and a half ago. About 6 months ago I got tired of the Loose shifter and tore into it, and one of the little keys was broken. Called up, got them replaced at no charge, no big deal. Well, my shifter is loose again, and lo and behold, the same piece broke again.

Does anyone know of another shifter that will fit the same front spot, and maybe hold up better?

I've seen a guy make a cobra shifter work. The base plate is just a little bit short for the bolt holes to align so you have to elongate the front holes on the base plate and silicone the front edge where it meets the case.

what is this piece you speak of, mine is loose and yes you can use a cobra shifter but you have to modify it.
