Ok my clutch never gives me any problems anymore. It runs beautifully! But in checking my fluids I noticed the clutch fluid is black as night right now. So my question is, why has it turned black?
*I have a thermo sleeve on the hydraulic line so I don't think it's that hitting the header(although I'll double check this weekend).
*This is an upgraded 02 slave that's only about 2 years old.
*I use OEM GM brake fluid.
*When driving normally I tend to shift and drive between 1000-1500 RPMs. While this is lower than most, I don't think this would cause a problem. Just wanted to throw that out there just in case.
*Fluid level is fine, so there doesn't seem to be any leaks.
*It's a McLeod M/C with a Mcleod SDK.
*I haven't been to the track in over a year although I have had some fun on the streets, but not often.
Any ideas on what would turn my fluid black?
Thanks,
Mike

I went by my dealer this weekend and asked one of their techs there. he also said this was nothing to be worried about. He didn't exactly say why it was nothing to worry about, but he confirmed that the black fluid is not a problem. Clutch engagement is the only real indicator. So until that changes, I guess there's nothing to worry about.
