low idle at start up

low idle at start up i have an 01 camaro ss with 48k miles on it. has run great until this morning.
when i started it up, it barley turned over and it was idling at maybe 200-400rpm. i gave it some gas and it eventually started idling normally. after a few min i turned the ac on and it immediately dropped back to the extremely low idle. this is not normal and i've had nothing like this happen before this morning.
help please!
