really debating about buying a MGW right now lol. I have the pro 5.0 power tower in my car and even comparing it to my buddys ss with the factory hurst and my other buddys ss with a slp short shifter mine is like driving a 18 wheeler lol. ive heard nothing but excellent reviews on the mgw shifters so that's prly what I will buy.

stupid question but on the pro 5.0 the stops are just actual stops incase you mis-shift right? it doesn't actually adjust the length of the throw? I had a hurst white cue ball on mine and I just switched back to the factory leather hurst **** and seems to be a little bit better. the shifter and feel is one of the more important things to me. I wish someone I knew had a MGW I could try to see if the switch would be worth it.

I love my MGW shifter. The shifts are incredibly short compared to stock. I went from stock to the MGW. It seems to be a tad notchy but I like that so not really a big deal to me. Granted I probably haven't broken it in all the way yet either. Without a doubt I would get the MGW.

I have had my Hurst Billet Plus (with C5-R style delrin handle) for years. I have been satisfied with it. I overshifterd twice with the factory Hurst unit, and got the car stuck in 4th. Put in the Billet Plus, adjusted the stops, and it has never happened again, and transmission has been fine. Been that way since 2004.

I had a Pro5.0 shifter for probably 10 years before swapping it out for a Hurst Billet Plus. The only reason I replaced it was that the shifter arm pivot bushing had worn down over the years creating play causing a lot of rattling in the handle. I had planned to rebuild it of have Pro 5.0 rebuild it but they don't offer rebuild parts or do rebuilds.
The 5.0 was a good shifter to me. The hurst bp I have now shifts smoother, is quieter, and can be rebuilt I've been happy with it so far.
