Default C5 t56 assembly: need help.

so I took apart my first c5 t56 (triple/ double friction synchros,) which was actually an SSR main shaft fit for a F-body t56, and it was toast. had to get new main shaft and a lot of hard parts.

trying to reassemble and stuck on the 1/2 synchro install. I got a lock ring kit since the old one were beyond recorecognition and I'm not sure where they all go. it looks like a lock ring should go on top the synchro between the synchro and 1st gear but the opening is twice as thick so maybe not. since this is where all the carnage was I want to make sure it's right.
if someone could help that'd be great.

Jeremy

Yes there is a snap/lock ring that goes there. It's thicker than the "normal" snap rings.

so I found everything but the little ball bearing that holds the washer retainer in place, any idea what the dimensions of the ball is or where I can get it?

thanks, Jeremy.

Also in the PDF file

4.75mm stainless ball bearing

I have a few hundred of them if you'd like to PM me you're address I'll drop one in the mail.

FWIW, the TR6060 has the same designed retainer, but doesn't use the ball bearing. The CTSv T56 used the ball, so I used it in my build... YMMV..

If you're in a hurry, 3/16" is fine and easy to find.
