McLeod rxt break in
McLeod rxt break in I know McLeod recommends 500 miles but my car is open header and other "race only" things that make it difficult to put that kind of mileage on it. Any other designated track cars (race gas compression motors, etc) have this issue? How did u break in the clutch?
Just looked at the last 2 pages of that thread and don't see anything about break in. Did he just put it in and head to the track? I'm on my phone so I could have missed it.

I did as many engagements and 1st gear and 2nd gear starts as possible.
Just kept starting and stopping as many times as possible.
I drove it for maybe 30 min at a time got everything hot, let it cool
Down and did it again. McLeod wanted to see 1200-1500 clutch
Engagements and dis-engagements. I don't think I did that many
But I did alot. My first couple passes I ran high air pressure in my tires
To make sure it spun. Then I lowered the air pressure and launched it.
I'm guessing it's grabbing good because I was cutting 1.3 60' times.
