Default my hurst shifter is leaking

ok, i know this isn't on an ls1, but you guys are good with your tech, and i read your threads often. i hope you guys can help me out here.

on my truck, i needed to add a spacer for my specific year, and i was only given one gasket for the whole assembly. it leaked even though i cranked down on it as best as i could. fine, whatever.

i need some suggestions now. i'm going to get some silicon sealant and i want to know which one to get. this is going to be exposed to transmission fluid (obviously since thats whats leaking) so what should i use so it doesn't break down from chemical reaction? heat is also a factor i suppose.

thanks in advance.

Get the orange. Don't forget to let it gell for a bit before you put the shifter on.

I've always used GMS ( get it at GM dealer ) without failure.
BTW, overtightening bolts != better seal. Stick with the specs...
