Default T56 3rd gear question

A buddy of mine told me that he heard there is a company out there that makes a third gear for the T56 that makes the shift from 2nd to 3rd a lot more smooth since sometimes it's a little difficult to hit 3rd while getting on the car....I was wondering if anyone on here has heard of such a gear and what company does it this because my friend can't remember the name of the company...thanks for the help

Sounds like he is talking about the TKO transmissions. Liberty Gears does the modifications to the shift top, syncro sleeves and gears.

Thanks for the help. Have you by any chance dealt with this company, or this set up? If you have, what do you think about it?

Well if you have a t56 it doesn't matter. The tko600 is an entirely different trans so the upgrades dont apply to a t56. Best thing to help the 2-3 shift on a t56 is healthy synchros, billet keys, steel 3-4 fork and a good shifter
