I have been fighting a vibration in my t56 magnum since I installed it years ago (Pinion angles, changed drive shafts, mounts etc). So after I blew out my fifth gear and pulled the trans I discovered it was twisted and bent.

I was wondering if anyone has a vibration and found the same problem.

Reason I am asking this is that I could buy any part for that trans but the input shaft is on a three month back order, almost makes me think they are have problems with that part.

I haven't installed my Magnum yet but I do need an input shaft because I'm converting a TEUT11011 (Ford) to a TEUT11012 (GM). Who have you talked to about a new input shaft? I need an adapter too.

Is there any update on this? I'm putting a T56 Magnum XL behind a 351w in a 2012 Mustang (I need the longer tail shaft housing of the XL), and need to replace the input shaft with the shaft from the Magnum.

If availability is a problem, I'm gonna have to have the XL shaft turned down so that it's short enough...

You cannot replace a standard Magnum input into an XL Magnum as the pocket bearing design is not the same.
