Tranny Problems, need input please Hey guys I am posting this for a buddy, He has a 2000 Z28 with a M6 and full bolt ons and a Spec Stage 2 Clutch. his car is pretty strong runs 12.50 at 114 with a 2.0 60FT. I just wanted to let you know what the cars has now here is the problem.
For about a month now he has not been able to shift into 2nd hard at full throttle it just grinds, so he lets off and put it in to 2nd slow and it goes in fine, But if he takes it to 4000 to 4500 and shifts hard in to 2nd it will go into gear. He just took the car out and went to go through the gears shifted soft into 2nd and tried hard into third and now has the same problem it just grinds under full throttle. The clutch has about 5,000 miles on it, He did not upgrade the HYD when he did the clutch swap, but did do the drill mod. Any Ideas of what could be wrong with it? If this makes no sense let me know and I will try to explain it better

The grinding might be because the synchros are starting going bad, and its only noticeable when under stressful conditions.
