Default Best Trans mount?

What's the best Trans mount? Mine original is shot with 15k miles. I guess the rubber has deteriorated. Not sure if I want poly. What are the cons to poly?

Don't go the poly route unless you have poly motor mounts.

IMO, run poly motor mounts and your stock rubber trans mount will last a lot longer.

I'm getting some noise under the car like something is hitting the floor under heavy acceleration. I assume it's got to be the Trans mount. The car does have a umi non adjustable torque arm, tubular lcas and lca brackets.

Could also be your y pipe.

I bought a energy suspension transmission mount and motor mounts as well. Transmission mount works great, still get some vibration in the cabin, but not enough to where it is highly noticeable. haven't installed the motor mounts yet, but from what everybody tells me is that they're great mounts.

That also a problem with having the TA front mount on the trans tail housing. With having factory rubber engine mounts the whole engine/trans assembly moves around a noticeable amount which also means the front of the TA is also moving around.

I'd go with a stock rubber replacement trans mounts if you still have rubber engine mounts, otherwise you risk cracking the trans tail-shaft housing with a stiff poly trans mount.

I decided to try a poly mount. I bought an ES at Oreillys for $30. I did grind down the bumps and did not use the preload plate. When I was under the car, it seemed like there was a lot of play in the stock mount but when I took it off, it looked ok. I went ahead and put on the poly. The exhaust is louder since it has a bracket on the trans, louder is cool with me. The shifting is a bit improved and less wheel hop. The only think I could see that was maybe touching was the slp y pipe may barely have rubbed the driveshaft loop. Dont know how else to fix that but the noise is gone. Hope the trans case doesnt break.

I totally forgot about that poly option!
You'll be fine running the ES trans mount like that, since without the preload it still offers a decent amount of flex. That's actually the only poly trans mount option(with modification) I'd ever use with stock rubber engine mounts.

What's the reason to have the curved side pointing to the rear? Also does grinding down the bumps mess with the integrity of the mount? I basically melted/ground them with a dremel.

Since the trans mount is used in multiple applications I would think it's for mounting clearance. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think removing the pre-load bump hurts any thing since I ran one that way for +5 years without any issues.
