Ram VDS 910 possible problem

Ram VDS 910 possible problem Look guys I just had this thing installed about a month ago, don't drive it much, just finished putting my 500 miles on it today, the problem I have, and it just started happening is taking off in first gear, if I'm the first in line at a light, I can jump out and take off with no problems, but if theres alot of SLOW (you know the type, not in a hurry at all) people in front of me, and I have to feather the clutch out, it starts jumping around and vibrating real bad, it sounds like something is banging against the floorboard, but once it ingages its back to normal, and with city driving its almost imposible to get first in line at the light all the time, is this just a sacrifice that I have to deal with since its a performance clutch, or should I have better driveability with this thing, I had this thing profesionally installed, but thats not saying much, I'm begining to think the shop that I took it to is a joke, but thats another story. so what do you guys think? is it just not seated in yet, and will fix itself soon, or is it toast? I haven't ragged on it yet at all, but this thing gets pretty imbarassing at take off, I guess to an outsider it would be like I can't drive this thing 
any sugestions would be appreciated. oh and it's not slipping either, and first is the only time this happens. I guess it would help to tell you the car is a 2002 WS6, with 30,000 miles on it, other than that I was in love with the characteristics of this clutch, now its like a love hate relationship.

That's clutch chatter. It's normal for a grabby clutch, though it can be extremely annoying. Sounds like you'll need to give it more gas and try to feather it more.
What rear gears do you have? It's better as you go higher. I have 4.56's and the Ram VDS/910.
I'd hate to try to drive it with 3.42's.

yea I have the 3.42's, the problem I have with giving it to much gas is that with the SLP longtubes, and the loudmouth, it's loud *** hell, and it seems that I'm trying to race everyone (not good if the police is around), but since it's normal, I feel much better, it just scared the crap out of me though, but the 9" with atleast 4.11's is in the near future, so for now I'll deal with it, thanks for responding camaroholic 
Yea, the 910 disk is cintered iron on both sides which would chatter a bit. Did you install a forged steel or AL flywheel? The 910 disk will eventually eat into a stock flywheel.
Both of these reasons are why I went with the 910 disk (cintered iron on the PP side and organic on the FW side) although I don't have it in yet.

I put the billet steel flywheel in at the same time 5 liter Eater, I'm just so glad that it's not a problem, I'm ready to put my extra cash into more mods, not fix the ones that I've already gotten thanks for the responses
i agree you need some gears. i started out w/ 3.42's untill i got my 12-bolt w/ 4.11's. at first it was choppy just like you said and now w/ the gears give it a little gas and let the clutch go and it starts out real nice and smooth.

I am thinking about getting this clutch soon. So the 910 disc with 3.42's is going to be chattery? I am thinking about getting the VDS system with 910 disc, would this be to much for my application. I plan doing the bolt-ons and a cam.

Hell SlammedTA overkill is better than under kill, IMO especially if your not done modding But it will be chatery *** hell with the stock gears at take off (I found out first hand), but you get use to it, to me I feel 100% better knowing that its normal, instead of something screwed up, I guess in hind sight I'll take a chatery clutch that can handle what I throw at it over a queit one that burns up with a lil NOS, hope this answers your question, good luck with your car.

You guys are right, gearing is everything with an aggressive clutch. 02, try experimenting with different amounts of rpm on takeoff and you will start to find a 'happy medium'. It just takes some getting used to more than anything.
