Truth about the 1LE mount I did a search, and I'm a little confused. I need a new mount, but I'm NOT considering a poly mount. So the 1LE seems to be the one to go with.
What i've gathered is the 1LE mount is discontinued. Others say it's stock on 01 and 02's. Others say it's stock 00-02.
What is the deal? Do I go to the dealer and say I want a stock mount for a 2001 or will a stock 00 mount be a 1LE too? Will a 01 mount even fit on my 00?

I am in the same situation as you man, but I am strongly considering a prothane mount. From my research ive found its the same height as stock, and no trimming has to be done. It also seems to "break in" after a little bit of driving.

To the best of my knowledge the 00-02 have the 1LE. I still have my original mount with over 1300 passes at the track and 79k. If and when I break it I will definately get a new one from GM. Im launching with ET streets and a iron disc clutch.My.02

The "real" 1LE mount is not made any more. I believe it was last put on 00 models. When you give a GM dealer the part number it will cross-reference to the universal mount.
And the stock mounts cost like $70, f'ing outrageous!!!!! But they work, quiet and hold up to some abuse, I am still on my original mount, 83k miles, but I can tell it's starting to wear out, little too bouncy and loose feeling. I don't want the poly for the noise, but I may have to bite the bullet and get one. It's $70 vs $25, big difference!

I ordered a 1LE mount from SLP back a year or two ago and it looks nothing like my stock 00' mount does. The material is stiffer and the Stud mounting to the crossmember is different..
