Small question about short throws

i have an 02 SS with a T56. turns out the guy before me put in a tranzilla trans. my question is, how can i know if i have a shorth throw shifter? are they stamped? or something. Thanks for the help guys. yes i did a search but i didnt look all night, so im posting here.
