t56's are over priced to begin with and at 190k it either has problems or is about to. so I wouldnt give more than a core price for it because bearings willl most likely need to be done. I'd say 800-1000 with anything over 1k being a BIG stretch. If it was lower miles and working fine then 1500+- would be fair

Agreed, keep it under $1000. Was it behind an LS or an LT motor for those miles?

plan on a rebuild ($650-850 in parts) as stated.
A couple gears $180 each, maybe a couple synchronizers also $100 each at the minimum. Get a picture of the tip of the input shaft. If there is scoring and it isn't perfectly smooth.... plan on needing a new one. $250
then labor

A new Magnum is just over $3K delivered. It doesn't come with a bellhousing... but will shift light years better than any Fbody style T56.

when I buy used T56's and plan to rebuild them... I don't pay more than $600 with bellhousing. Even if someone says all the gears are good.... until you tear it down you simply can't see the true wear.

Awesome info, thanks Bro!

As for the Magnum, I was told it will not fit in the fbody without major modifications.

Tick has them modified for $4500...I agree though, my $2k rebuild was substantially cheaper than a magnum which is why I personally went that route. Buttt, the magnum will shift better.
