Tick master pedal height poll...
This is for anyone with a Tick MC... how is your pedal height? Mine with my Ram twin disk is extremely low, as in its about level with the dead-pedal. Doesn't give me much play, making it pretty hard to drive. I think I may have to switch back to a stock style unit, at least for this clutch.
Im just wondering if this is really normal or Ive got something else going on, but everything is in order as far as measurements go and bleeding.

I think you're misunderstanding what "adjustable" actually means in regard to the clutch MC. All it does is adjust the pedal position, it does not adjust the clutch engagement point.
You want it adjusted so that just before the pedal hits the end of its travel, the clutch is fully released (no rolling forward with clutch in and at redline).

Maybe I should have been more clear. According to Ram, they say to adjust the pedal so that the clutch grabs as low to the floor as possible, to avoid over extending the pressure plate. If I adjusted so that the pedal was at stock height, the clutch would be disengaged after only 2" and the rest of the travel would be over-extension. Im just really surprised that I have so little travel and very stiff pedal feel with this combo.

With the last clutch, a Spec stage 3+, it sat lower than the brake pedal but nowhere near as low as it is now. Its so low its literally even with the dead-pedal on the far left. One of the reasons I decided to go with a twin disk was for a softer pedal feel, and if anything, its just as hard if not even harder than my old Spec. By comparison, when driving my Z with stock hydraulics and ls6 clutch, its light as a feather and even with the brake pedal.
Some of the Monster twin disks are not compatible with adjustable large-bore MCs and Im wondering if this is why. Maybe they can chime in?

A 3/4" bore master cylinder is also an option if you're running a twin disc clutch. This will soften up the pedal feel and allow for a higher pedal position.
This still allows you to utilize what I feel is one the best features of our master cylinder, which is its adjustment capability.

Just swapped to the 3/4" Tilton master and wow what a difference, it basically feels like a stock clutch again and definitely more pedal travel as well! Now I have a 7/8" Tilton just sitting here now, guess Ill hold onto it in case I ever go back to a standard clutch (though I highly doubt I will).
