need new shifter...not sure what to get.
I have Jarods short stick on my factory (98 z28) shifter, hoping that would limit missed shifts and firm up the feel. the factory shifter is just crap. I need to upgrade but upon doing research i hear lots of mixed reviews about the pro 5.0. the B&m i dont like cause i like the short stick (and id like to keep the one i have already). I had a pro 5.0 on a mustang a while back and i really didnt like the how notchy feeling it was. I know i will get that with any aftermarket shifter but the pro5.0 was just too bad.
So i guess that leaves me with the hurst billet plus. Are these all that much better than stock shifters? and can i use the JSS on it so i can keep the look as well?
anyone using the hurst billet plus?
Thanks Travis

slik98z. it's the trans that makes the shifter feel like
i got the pro 5.0 w/ a short lever. i love it
if your trans is in good shape all the shifter will do is make things more
positive..well and transfer some noise(I HATE noise, not even an issue for
me)for me i wanted the shortest thro possible. i think i got it..
whatever one you choose, it will be light years better than stock
