Default Buying a used clutch

What do you guys think abt purchasing a used clutch? Are you really saving that much than buying new. How do you measure clutch life for example buying a used monster stage 3 clutch?

If I'm going through the hassle of dropping the trans, I wouldn't put a used clutch in. A new OEM style Luk unit is super cheap.

I agree with black. Would you install used brake pads? And those are much easier to get to than the clutch.

I wouldn't install a used clutch. Know a guy that went through 5 or 6 used clutches becasue he got them cheap. Could have bought a real nice new clutch in the end.

I guess that would depend on what type of clutch material and what brand of clutch.
