Default Metal poping noise around clutch pedal

I was driving yesterday and when I let the clutch out changing gears something with "POP" The best way I can describe the sound was like if something metal broke or snapped. Nothing feels different and I can't find any springs laying on the floor or anything. Anyone got any ideas?

Red face

that is DEF your clutch return spring. It happened to me like 2 months ago. I just had it replaced, and the good news is it's under warranty

If they ask you do you beat on it or slam gears, yours obvious answer is no, it just broke
