Default A4 to M6 Conversion help needed badly!

I have a 2002 A4 SOM Trans Am LS1 that I'm wanting to put a M6 in. I am using a manual transmission from a 1996 Camaro with an LT1. I have a few questions about this conversion:
1. What do I need to make the manual transmission fit up with the LS1?
2. What are all of the parts that I need to complete the conversion?
3. How do I rewire the wiring harness without getting a whole new harness?
4. Could pictures please be provided?

2002 SOM T/A is a very desirable car whether A4 or M6. I would never cut up an SOM A4 to make an M6. There are plenty of original M6's out there. That alteration will cut deep into the premium the SOM brings, potentially all of it. And then you're installing an incorrect '96 manual trans into a 2002. A further loss of premium. I think when you're done with this alteration, the car will be worth less than what it's worth right now. Far simpler to sell this car and find a 2001/2002 M6 to your liking. If your car was purchased new and has great sentimental value, I can see the thought process to altering & keeping it. Even so, I'd still sell it as is so as not to ruin one of the few remaining SOM TA's still left. If the car is already in horrible condition then maybe it doesn't matter so much.

The higher the mileage the less all of this means. But even at 100K-150K miles, if I have my eyes set on an M6, it's not going to be an A4 conversion unless there's a very steep discount involved.

I didn't know I was converting it for you. I do body work for a living, so I know what to do to make it look like it belongs there. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my things. I would never sell this car, it's been my dream car since I was little. I know the value of these cars and would never get rid of it. I'm still in the process of trying to get my 98 custom viper green back together, but because of the value of these cars (even wrecked) its hard to find a donor or new parts.

No offense to the op but these questions come up 2-3 times a month so either the search feature doesnt work or no one looks.

Anyway ok lol after that mini rant here is my swap writeup from when i did my car. Follow this and it will be exactly like the car came from the factory came with a t56. Unless i told you mine was an auto the only way to tell would be to look at the door tag. If you truly want it right this is the way to do it and its how the factory did it.

If you got the lt1 t56 for next to nothing the conversion is worth it. if not sell it and just find one for an ls. you will need a new midplate, input shaft, and bellhousing. New midplate and input will be roughly 450 and then tack on whatever a bell costs used or new.

Btw to the guy talking about values... converting your car to an m6 isnt going to do anything for value right now, if anything it will increase it since many more people like m6 cars. Maybe in 25 years it might but saving a car for the next guy is like having a hot girlfriend and not banging her because you're keeping her fresh for the next guy. Especially if you plan on keeping the car who cares?

Thank you. I've been looking through all of the manual transmission threads but haven't come across the one you put in here. It's what I was looking for.
