quicktime bellhousing
Here is a shot of the car on RT129 earlier this spring.

-The quicktime bellhousing is .024 inches off. That's well beyond the .005 limit. I have to get .021 offset dowel pins.
-All the mounting, measuring, removing of the bellhousing has weakened my aluminum engine block threads. I stripped one of the threads, and I wasn't using that much torque. I may need to heli-coil all the bellhousing bolt holes.
-I used a dremel on some of the bellhousing holes. It had to be done to get the bellhousing to move.
I've been messing with this for too long. I finally got some help. I kept thinking that I must be doing something wrong. The bellhousing can't be this far out of alignment. Well, it is that far.
Perhaps I shouldn't have asked for a price match when I ordered the quicktime. Makes me wonder if that price match guarantee means I got a defective bellhousing that was returned, re-boxed, and re-sold.
