Along with my lq9 swap i also went with a hydraulic clutch setup for the saginaw 3 speed manual transmission im running behind the lq9. I went with the 3/4 bore clutch master cylinder off of a 93-97 camaro with the mounting bracket to get the right angle on the firewall and my slave cylinder is a 7/8 bore off of a 85 jeep 2.5. i made a bracket that bolts to the stock bell housing and lines up perfect with the stock clutch fork.
Im running a 1/4 line between the two (no restrictor in the line)and the problem im having is when i push the clutch in really fast (like you would to shift fast or downshift) the pedal gets really hard then slowly goes down and if you sidestep the clutch it takes a second for it to come all the way back up.
It almost feels like the line isnt big enough to move the fluid i need to disengage the clutch fast enough. i originally has a 1/8 line between the two and the pedal was really hard and took 2 seconds to disengage the clutch with me almost standing on it
any ideas?
Thanks
