Default mystery noise

my 2001 ws6 m6 has done this since i got it. at under 2000 rpm if i start to give it throttle i get the chatter noise sounds almost like lugging but the is at 2000 rpms and below and it litterly stops at exactly 2000rpm the noise is not there cruising under 2000rpm only when i start to give it throttle. the noise is not very loud but its bugging me whenever it does it. i have 3:73 gears a rpm level 5 tranny and a heavy duty clutch/flywheel, could this just be clutch/flywheel chatter is it me lugging at these low rpms or is there some kind of issue. theres no lose of power or anything but id really like to get to the bottom of this issue.
