Shim. Or maybe an adjustable MC will fix it.

I did the Tick adjustable master when I did my Monster stage 3. I've adjusted it several times to get the pedal height to my liking. If you're going to replace the master, go with the Tick unit.

hard to believe the master took a crap at the exact time you did a clutch swap... were there any signs of a bad master before??

Ive only had the car a month now and the clutch was bad when i got the car so it, the master cylinder felt ok but 5he clutch being bad it was to hard to determine the actual condition of the master cylinder but it wasnt disengaging an inch from the floor before the clutch install

This sounds like a case of the master not moving enough fluid to actuate the clutch.

Here is a link to our master kit should you want it. http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...-firebird-ls1/

If it does not disengage fully and the system does not have any air in it, that means the master is not moving enough fluid to fully disengage the clutch.

Our master uses a bigger bore in order to move more fluid per amount of stroke, for proper clutch actuation.

I'm a huge fan of the tick master, and if you are going to replace the master, you would do well with it.

That said - did you measure for a slave shim? If you need a shim and don't install one, the tick master CAN overextend the slave.

Not to sound like a nutswinger, but the Tick MC IMO is the end all solution. I tried brand new factory hydraulics (on my Z06) and they did NOTHING for me. From there, I assumed the weak dick adjustable pressure plate was to blame so I installed a Spec Stage 1 clutch with aluminum fw/pp and my clutch pedal got worse! I must say though that dropping 20# of rotational mass off of that made a significant difference in accleleration. Finally, I bought the Tick MC and all of a sudden I could smash gears all day every day. I'm 100% sold on their clutch master cylinders, absolutely legit.
