Default help id this transmission

so i bought this trans was told it was off a 98 camaro was told it was modified to fit a mustang just need to know what type of mid plate it has and what i need to do to turn it back to bolt it back into a ls1 thanks any info will helphelp id this transmission-img_2557.jpg

Its a McLeod mid plate.

I almost bought the same trans but there was a bit of hiccup...there was a 1" difference between the input shaft length on my 98 ls1 T56 and the one you have pictured. The sleeve around the input shaft also kinda give it away.

iirc, that trans in the pics is out of LT1 setup (94-97). the Bell housing may have also been different...but again, this is from memory.

thanks for the reply guys i just measured the input shaft and it measures 7 in from the mid plate to the tip of the input shaft couldn't really find any info on how long the input shaft for a ls1 is but i found that lt1 shafts are 5.5 in so I'm super confused on what the hell i have here lol

Mcleod front adapter plate.
Mcleod scattershield.
I may have conversion parts if you're in Phx.

What's going on with that input shaft? Looks like some sort of sleeve?

Bearing. Blow up the pics. It's test-installed on the pilot end, instead of in the crank.

yes thats the ls1 pilot bearing test fitted to make sure it fits lol

thanks for the info i searched mcleod website but couldn't find anything the sell remotely close to what i have but it its a mcleod mid plate from the clover on it now to turn it back to a ls tranny i think changing the mid plate and input shaft would be the easiest way cuz i couldn't find a bolt on replacement for the input shaft cover the mcleod mid plate has
