Dowel pin wont stay

Default Dowel pin wont stay

So my monster clutch showed up and going to install it two of the dowels fit in and stay the third just slips in and won't stay.I have emailed monster and told them waiting on an answer thought I would ask on here to.
What is the purpose of the dowel pins

They need to be in to alighn the pressure plate so you don't get any vibrations. One of mine fell out and did some damage so make sure yours are pressed in all the way.

If it's not too loose, you might could use a punch and peen the area around the hole. If it's really loose, find a cheap drill bit that fits the hole and cut it down. I'd use (green) Locktite sleeve compound on a questionable fit. Like Chris said, you don't want it flying around in there...

Well I talked to monster they said its fine to run it with out them but I like the drill bit idea

I have had one come out and tear up a monster stage three. When I put the new clutch in I didn't put a new pin in. Never had an issue

One pin is prolly a couple grams. Wasn't sure it would be a problem on the balance job, guess not...
