Default Tick Master Cylinder fitting failure

So I'm cruising down the road, go for a plain old 1st to second shift, and boom, pedal hits the ground. I get uner y car and come to find the fitting on the plug that goes into the tranny, a little clear plastic bugger, has cracked.

Anyone has experience with this? Hoping a new fitting will solve the problem, quick responses will be great, as I'm sitting on the side of the road ATM lol

Well you know that it's "cracked" from the factory. Right? Try popping it back in.

I bought the car with it installed, didnt know that. It kept popping out once it was in, eventually it stuck and I got home, what would suggest I do to keep it from happening again?
