Default Help: Issues with shifting after new clutch install

I installe a spec stage 3 6 puck , spec slave cylinder, remote bleeder and new OEM replacement master a few weeks ago.

I feel as if the clutch isnt getting full disengagement

I measured the specs for the requirement of putting the shim on the slave and based on the result the shim was not necessary however the clutch definitely is not getting full engagement and that is resulting in hard shifting especially at high RPM and gears grinding.

not sure what else to do at this point but pull the trans again and install the shim.

anyone else ever have this problem before?

Oh I have a pro 5.0 shifter and a ws6 short stick.

thanks.

you may want to try bleeding again since you opened up hydraulics

I know several people had to go with a MC with adjustable rod to give them a little more stroke.

If your stack height measures right for no shim, may need to look into a adjustable MC.

Tick seems to be a popular choice

both my tuner and myself spoke to clutch company today and they said that in this situation the shim would remedy the situation. So looks like I will be taking the trans out again and installing the shim sometime soon...

I put the shim in last night and it is better but still grabs if you rev it and have clutch disengaged.

Looks like the tick master cylinder will remedy my issue because it seems the stock master is not getting enough throw and also at redline banging gears seem like a lack of hydrolic flow.

Based off of what was said earlier in the thread, it would have to be a hydraulic issue. Keep us all posted with your results with the new master.

ya def thinking so now. which sucks but even with the Shim it is within spec for having the shim in and with the adjustable master cylinder I can counteract for that
