1st gear issue
1st gear issue Searched but couldn't find anything. I am having an issue with 1st gear and wanted to get some input.
This is a H/C/I car with a Tick MC and a Monster stage 2 flywheel and clutch. Also has a MGW shifter.
I have put about 800 miles or so on the car since I made those modifications. The last 100 or so miles it has been tough to get into 1st gear at idle only. Down shifting from 2nd to 1st is buttery smooth. As are WOT shifts into all gears. Only gets a little tough to get into 1st while the car is at idle (it slips right into any other gear at idle). Car passed the recommended test for full disengagement by Tick so I am not sure that is the issue. Not to mention the car shifts great under throttle. Any suggestions or thoughts?
