Default Clutch Question

I tried to do a burn out today but my tires wouldn`t lite all the way, instead I think I burned some clutch cause I smelled burned. My foot was all the way out of the pedal.
The car has only 9K miles and I never really abuse it or make burn outs.
So what I`m looking at ? I did it twice and same thing happened, the 3 rd. one I did it going side way and it did burned pretty good.
I also have a Z06 Clutch which is supposed to be good.
So what the hell ??????

I like to dump the clutch at about 3k, then hit the brakes with my left foot, while feathering the throttle to keep the revs under 6K. With my stock drivetrain and F1's, this produces a pretty nice, smoky burnout. If you can't get similar results with this technique, maybe you have a clutch problem?

I have done the same with my 02......the tires are really wide/sticky...if you don't rev it high enough and dump it, the weakest link is the clutch.......it will slip

Yep gotta rev it up high, or you will burn the clutch... I rev mine up to 4.5k or so in 2nd gear, then dump it. I have my right foot heel on the brake, with my toes on the gas. That way I can modulate gas and brake as long as I need to... I do about a 6 second burnout this way right before I stage at the track.

Do the drill mod. My clutch slipped while launching from time to time. I did the drill mod and things got better. No more limp pedal on the floor either.

Do a search for the Drill Mod and it will explain the entire process......
