My bro got a t56 magnum and it didnt come with a cags solenoid .His car is highly modded so its tuned out in the pcm but his car now wont pass the nys plug in . Does anyone know the resistance of the solenoid so he could build a little resistor on a plug to get it to pass.

Otherwise he has to wait to get it back from the old transmission if they still have it .

I don't know what NY does for inspection, but that sounds odd that it would be the cags tuned out. Everyone does emissions these days, how does the tranny or ECU factor in? Is it actually showing a CEL?

I don't know if a cel showed up but it showed up on the inspection computer and he has a number for it.

So need to know the resistance

And we are surprised it would make it fail.

Odds are that the code for it is set to no MIL instead of No Error Reported. Switch this and it should pass without an issue unless they are getting on the ground and looking for the thing.
