Default tr6060 swap?

Hi I was wondering, I am swapping a ls3 into my 93 rx7 which is pretty light and I found a tr6060 trans out of a 2010 camaro that has the 3.01 first gear, anyways I was told to not run it as it is to short of a gear? can i fix the problem with a different diff gear?

I also have a 06 t56 viper transmission put on hold for 900 shipped, but not sure if I want to go that route, I dont know even if trans will work for a ls3?

Whether that gearing is suitable or not depends on many factors, the least being because someone else told you not to.

Work it out for yourself what gearing might work best.

Magnum or RSG Tranzilla types do make a lot of sense, and for a brand new box are great value.

And as you say, you know 100% what you're getting.

Plus you can choose shifter position from a few options etc.

Get the mag. Just run through gearing calculators online so you know what you're actually getting first... have you selected/chosen a diff yet? This could make or break your decision.
