Please help, Another Clutch Master Adjustment Issue
Here is what is happening.
Car goes into gear after one turn of turn buckle.
I place a bathroom sized mirror beside rear wheels with car on jack stands to see if there is tire movement.
I rev the car to 3000rpm in first with clutch depressed with no wheel movement.
BUT, I depress clutch, shift into first, and as I am going into first, the rear wheels turn a 1/8 turn and stop. If I hold the clutch down and shift into other gears, my tires don't move.
If I let go of clutch and try again, same thing happens.
So I adjust the master for more fluid flow one turn at a time until my tires stop turning when moving my shifter into first. From 1 turn, I'm now at 4 turns and my tires still move almost the same 1/8th turn.
Should I keep adjusting the master? My clutch is now a little past my brake peddle. Im scared of damaging my pressure plate.
Or can this be a different issue?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Take it off jackstands. If it's on level ground, pedal down, and in 1st, rev it and if it doesn't move, you're good.
If you have proper clutch release towards the bottom, you're not going to gain anything by continuing to adjust the master.
