Default Clutch recommendation

Car currently has full exhaust 4.10 and nitto 555rs and a ram hd clutch tick master new slave with remote bleeder and the clutch doesn't seem to be enough. The clutch works good unless you do a burn out, then it won't let you hit the next gear. However, if I skip the burn out I can run through the gears fine unless I launch to hard and spin a bunch, then it won't let me hit second. Slave was shimmed master adjusted and the system thoroughly bled, clutch seems to be weak point.

Secondly, the car is about to get a fast 92, prc 2.5 243s and a 228/232 cam in the next few months, which will definitely over power this clutch.. So, the question is which clutch is right for me? The cars race weight is 3700lbs and I am pretty aggressive with it looking for something that can take a beating.

Leaning towards monster level 2

If you are going to beat on the car quite a bit on the track I would step up to the stage three. I'm doing that my self now

Thanks for the reply, what clutch are you running now? auto swapping is also being considered since the car will see the track a lot

I'm running the monster two now. It's a great clutch. But it just didn't hold up to weekly track abuse.

....well what I found after running SPEC 2+, CC 2.5, Zoom and others when I went from a H/C car to a 383 which makes about 400 rwhp is the clutches would last about a year and then start to slip. granted I did hit the 1/4 mi and run a MT ET street a few times a year so that took its toll. I finally went with the McLeod Twin....should have done it from day one considering I spent way more $ on those and other single disc clutches. Also the more aggressive single disc clutch I ran they all chattered in city driving, PIA. The twin drives like stock and has held up for years now without so much as a blink.

If I had to run a single disc clutch again I would try the SPEC 3+. IDK how well it works or what its street manners are but it is a full face disc vs puc type so it "may" have decent street manners. Because it has aggressive disc material...FW & PP will wear faster than with a organic disc

I think ****** is right.

I have a RAM HD with my 383 LS1 that makes 465rwhp and so far its held up well for eight months. I wish I had spent the extra $ and got a nice stock driving twin disc for peace of mind.

No question, go with a Monster clutch set up! I have the stage II in my camaro which put down 445 wrhp with no problems. Have a stage III going in my 6.0L turbo t/a. Their customer service is second to none! Also running a A4 in my street/strip SS with a Yank 4000SS converter, MWC rear with 4:10's which is a beast!
