Shift pattern on console Well I screwed up. I was cleaning up a pretty filthy shift plate I got from my parts car and I guess the cleaner I was using was too abrasive because I ended up wiping away the little shift pattern in front of the shifter leaving behind faded numbers and white streaks.
I'm sure I could clean it off completely so there's nothing left but I'd like to have that pattern there to keep the factory look. Does anyone know if there's someone out there that makes a sticker of the shift pattern that I could put back in its place?

You might try some rubbing alcohol on what you have and scrub with a light cloth. That may clean up the streaks without dissolving the other paint that's left. If the fading is from the chemicals and not paint removal, the alcohol may even restore it for you.
