Where to get a 700hp+ t56
Hi all, im doing a 1978 trans am restoration/ pro touring car. Its getting a forged 5.3 along with a pair of 62s. I need a manual tranny because it will be a daily driver. Where can i buy a 700+hp rated t56 with out giving a core back? Car will weigh around 34-3600 lbs. Havent chose rear wheel size. Will most likley be a 19 or 20 inch wheel. Thanks

I run a 100% stock Magnum making well over 1200 flywheel HP and no issues. I don't launch it hard (yet); however I do run 1/2 mile events and make big power in 4th and 5th gear without problems shifting at 7800rpm. No manual transmission will last forever making big power but it sure is fun banging gears
At 14psi it made 1060rwhp... we run 20-22psi in 4th/5th doing 1/2 mile events. No idea what it makes at that level... but it is more than the tires can handle since it blows the tires off at 180mph shifting into 5th if you want it to!
