Default Go to place for t-56 rebuild parts...???

I just got my used GTO MN12 t-56 installed in my 1972 Chevelle wagon...anyway, no second gear. Bad scratch, won't stay in gear.

So, where is the go to place for rebuild parts for this thing...Tick??? The Gearbox...Any advice on parts is appreciated...

I bought my rebuild kit and a new aftermarket second gear for my t56 from D&D, Bought a few things from AMP also. AMP is selling aftermarket gears that are supposed to be good stuff. Amp sells stuff on ebay.

Make sure you check the 5-6 gear on the main shaft to make sure its still a press fit.

We actually just released the 2nd and 3rd gears for the GTO/Corvette if you end up needing gears.

If the 5-6 gear slides off easily, you can send the shaft, or the shaft and gear to Jason at Texas drivetrain performance and he will fix it for $100 plus shipping. He has mine right now.

I think it's pretty common on these trans to find broken/wire hard parts by the time they need a rebuild.
