Default QuickTime bellhousing alignment needed?

Need some advice. I am doing an auto to manual swap and ordered a quicktime BH while Jason at TDP rebuilt my transmission. After reading the BH installation instructions I see that it says that it is recommended to align the bellhousing. I dont want to remove the front cover of the trans to align it if its not necessary. I called summit and they said I should be good to just install it. The tech said that The alignment is more for the older transmissions that didnt have precise machines, but I also know that the techs dont always know everything.

my questions are.... is it really necessary? How many of you did measure and didnt need any adjustments? How many of you just installed it without measuring and did/didnt have any issues?

No you shouldn't have to worry about alignment but it never hurts to check., but I would for sure measure you throw out bearing clearance, because you are going to have to shim it. Due to the thickness of the quicktime bellhousing

Mine bolted up just fine, didn't need to shim or align anything. Maybe I was out of tolerance and didn't notice but she's driving fine so far.
