T56 Magnum v Tick Level 3
Swapping my '93 700R4 for a six speed. Made 480 rwhp on the dyno with the 383 LT1 but a turbo setup is planned in the future. Which would be cheaper and more efficient in the long run?
Hawk's Conversion Kit- $2800
and
Tick Level 3 w options-$3300
or just buying the $3000 Magnum and piecing together the pedals and etc piece by piece. How much fab work goes into making the magnum fit behind an LT1. Neither option is cheap, but wondering if the Magnum would come out about the same price and be essentially bulletproof. Thoughts?

I have a buddy with a large T6 frame turbo on a 383 stroker LT1 in a 2400lbs 240Z making over 1000rwhp and a stock T56 Magnum with zero issues. He beats the living **** out of it. Runs a McLeod twin disc.
This car was previously ProCharged with a BIG F1R AND sprayed a 200hp shot of nitrous... it was never as fast as it is now running the turbo. The car is scary fast and the owner has had a lot of fast cars. He said it is like night/day.
(Note to self) Expect some raw fuel at times with a downpipe poking out the hood at cold start.... he is squinting because the car has no side windows and exhaust is coming inside the cabin.

Just look up GNX's videos and information....that RX7 launches HARD! I have had the Level 3 T56 but didnt get to drive it more than a few miles before being re-freshened and sold. However I never liked the feeling of the T56 personally though I am sure it would have performed well. After driving a new model Tr6060 I can only imagine the Magnum will be a joy to drive so that will be my one splurge item for my next build.

Just talk to d and d performance. I just picked up a t56 magnum , my brother has one and a friend of ours has one . Its the way to go and the cheapest place to get it from 4k shipped for an f body .
Give them a call they can tell you the benefits of the t56 magnum over the t56.
T56 magnum is a t56 case with tr6060 internals, basically .

I would pick the T56 Magnum over the Level 3 T56. The the Magnum drives better, feels better is stronger. See if you can test drive or at least row thru the gears of a Magnum and I think that will convince you.
I have a Hawk's Level 2 T56 and is much better than a stock T56 in my 91 RS.
I have an RPM Level 6 Magnum in my TA and is it amazing...much better than the built T56.

how much power will the hawks t56 kit hold? im hesitant to get one but the price makes it tempting. Have you had any issues?
