Exclamation Nasty Grind!

I was taking off from a light the other day and accelerated somewhat easily, but also somewhat high in the RPM range (to about 4800k), and when I shifted from first into second there was a huge grind going into 2nd (that I heard and felt on my hand on the shifter) as if the clutch wasn't pushed in all the way. However, the clutch was definitely pushed all the way in. I chalked it up to maybe it was a glitch. So i took off from the next light easily again but didn't hit as high of RPM's (maybe 3k) and everything was fine. BUT, at the next light I did the same thing as before, I accelerated into higher RPM's and went to shift into 2nd and SURE ENOUGH it grinded again. What the hell is going on? This def does not sound or feel good for the car.

You're Hydraulics could also be failing...These stock clutches go fast, as I've been through 3 stock clutches and I'm now in hunting mode for a Spec 3 or 3i now since I just saw a couple post about the 3i..but I'll have to look more into it...but I'd say it's definately in your clutch area. These T-56's are great and can handle MASSIVE AMOUNTS of POWER so I doubt it's your tranny...But the clutches we have from the factory are shyt and need to be replaced within the factory's warranty time limit for sure...do some research, buy a clutch, and take the car to it's max without worrying about clutch problems...

think again! These stock T-56's are junk, I am on my 4th rebuild as we speak!! Mine was and is grinding at high RPM's 2 thru 4th gear when trying to shift. If I shift easy (low RPM) it's fine, but when I shift at 6800 RPM it's grindind terribly!! It's the syncro's (sp). The stock GM one's suck.. the teeth can't handle it and grind at the high RPM from the TQ. I just blew my 3rd tranny today. I have upgraded to steel forks and now I'm ordering the carbon blocker ring. This is suppose to be able to handle the power as long as you don't miss a shift!!
Where does your clutch catch at? High or low? If your car is grinding into the shifts it IS your tranny NOT your clutch!!

My clutch engages pretty late, i'd say about 75-80% out.... I'm scared to find out how much this is gonna set me back
