Default Driveline removed- Problem- HELP

This is the 3rd time i need to remove and repair drive line. However, I am doing it myself this time.
I dropped off drive line to shop to have coupler and the carrier bearing fixed.
the shopped called and said I need to bring the shaft that is about 2.5 inches, or measure the out put shaft of transmission.
Here is the problem..
The drive line was a problem coming off. When I got under the car, I noticed the shaft spoke of that was still on the transmission, but it is wedged and froze on with what looks like rubber. I have had channel locks on it and a pry bar and it is only getting trashed in this process. it is moving more freely, but not coming off.
I think the rubber melted it on there. Was thinking to use propane torch to melt it more to free it up, but want to be sure.
Any suggestions?
i am on a fast deadline as a new job starts and no transportation.

No. 1: assuming this is a legit post-
No. 2: what vehicle; gto? cts-v, etc
No. 3: post up pictures if you've got them
people can't help without a frame of reference

Its legit..
Thank you.
Missed some important pieces on this.
2004 CTS-V
No pictures yet, as i had to walk away from it for a bit.
Manual transmission Generation 1
Transmission tail shaft had the Rubber coupler metal insert that siezed itself on with the rubber to tailshaft.
I am thinking a torch to warm the rubber and metal to remove as I cant pry it off as it should. It should have came off with the drive line as i was directed by drive line shop fixing the drive line currently. he needed the measurements which i believe is 1 inch in length and 16MM if I have read correctly in forums, but wanted to be sure. it will need to come off as they are replacing that part at time of rebuild'
Thank you

not certain of it, but under the dust seal (rubber ring around yoke) isn't there a snap ring that has to be removed first?
