Dumb problem and i'm tired of it! Hope you all can shed some light on this for me. Rather than spend money trying to figure things out then to come to the conclusion "that wasn't it". My car is a 2001 transam and i've posted on here a few times in this section about a bad throwout bearing and its effects. The car still has the stock clutch, 33,000 miles, and drives nice for the most part. But there feels a big loss in power, had all regular maintenance done, car looked over nothing big going wrong. Ever since my throwout bearing went bad and smelled a little burnt clutch here and there, the car seems to be more audible in how loud it is, mechanically, its slower, used to be able to do 2,300 rpm launches nicely and the car bogs first then goes. Can a bad clutch hinder performace all the damn time!!!!!!! The throwout bearing is so loud, anybody who has had one go bad can agree, its annoying, loud, and always there. My shifter vibrates all the time now and is noisy from the bearing going bad. I'm worried about upgrading to a new set up in fear of all the cost involved and then to find that the new set-up will have problems. I feel like i should have never bought a manual now, i love the car but i have never heard of so many people having trouble with the stock setup, it blows. I don't even drive the car hard, probably been through 10 hard launches on the street in the 1 year i've own the car. PLease someone enlighten me about the loss of power. can a bad clutch hinder performance not just in the launch and shifting but throughout the entire powerband of a gear? Sorry so long, i'm just so frustrated with my car that i baby.....

well its a pain in the **** to get it fixed when your pulling the trans out to get to it so i might as well upgrade the clutch and flywheel while i'm in there. It's expensive and i'm not at a point yet where i can afford to fix all of this. I was just curious if anyone who had this prob experienced these symptoms that i'm talking about
