I'm getting ready to replace my t56 in my 02 fbody with the t56 magnum (6060) anyone know if the shifter from the old t56 will work in the magnum t56 (6060)?

This is the shifter in question, trying to gets all the parts lined up.

i just put a t56 magnum in my 99 formula and everything bolts right up from the t56. I got mine from d and d performance . they use the fbody tailshaft.

What tailhousing are you going with? F-body or the Tremec one? If you go with the tremec one the shifter is different. It comes with one though albeit without a handle. There are a few shifters available for the magnum but they aren't cheap.

 

No, your old T56 shifter will not work with a generic Magnum or a 6060. ( And the "LS" Magnum is not an FBody fitment, it's just generic )

If you want a converted Magnum to FBody fitment, then of course it will be a different story.
