Help picking transmission

Help picking transmission So I am sorting out my future build i will hopefully start in a few months and am trying to find a reliable way to deliver that power to the ground, specificly what transmission. I am planning on building a 5.3 swapped chevy nova with a turbo making about 600 hp and want a manual transmission and am on a semi budget when it comes to the tranny. What do you guys think is the cheapest way to acheive a reliable transmission for this vehicle.

budget and 600hp don't go well together . my trans held up last year at 12psi but it hurt a 9" 31 spline set up rear
my turbo nova is using a d&d built t56....so far it's been good but I know I'm borrowed time when I turn it up

Yea ik theres no real budget option just looking for the cheapestreliable i might just run it on a cheap tranny taking it easy well i build up one on the side and yes i will deffinatly need a built 8.5" or 9 inch rear end thanks for the input

The THM 400 is likely going to be your cheapest route. Highway manners aside.
The 4L80 overdrive is a second choice. It might not break the bank if your harness and computer originally came from the vehicle with the 4L80. Otherwise its a separate controller for over a grand. Nothing cheep works behind 600 hp unless you have 7" tires on it. Then whats the point unless it's fire burn outs.

At only 600hp, many have made a stock T56 last a long time. Of course you'd be buying used, so there is always an element of a gamble there.
Presumably as asking in the manual forum it is a manual trans you want, and not an auto ?
