rust on pressure plate

rust on pressure plate this clutch has been in for about 3 years now with 6000 miles. any idea why the pressure plate fingers are coated in rust? its that thin coating the kind that a wire brush could get 80% of it off.....its a monster clutch. when i pulled the stocker it had no rust, just covered in dust
side note, my gm slave that i replaced at the same time has i nice steady heat mark around the hole thing. a little bit of blue but mostly brown.....any reason to be concerned?

and rust for ferrous metal parts that have no protection is inevitable, unless you live in a very warm dry climate.
It'll undoubtedly need a clutch change before the rust ever becomes a concern
