Default Grinding in first gear.

So far it has only done it twice but when I am slowing down for a stop sign or something and go to put it into first it will grind. It is just as if the clutch was not pushed in at all. My guess is that the clutch is on its way out. I bought the car with 39,000 miles on it and now have 54,000. So I am not sure if it has the original clutch or not. The car has about 100 auto x runs and about 20 trips down the strip on it. I plan to keep auto crossing as much as I can and don't really plan on doing any more mods to the car. All I have it is a cat back and sub frames. Sorry for being so long winded but so assuming it is the clutch what should I look at for a replacement clutch?

Thanks
Adam

Yeah..I think it maybe be coming up to that time. But your power is too much to get crazy with a clutch decision. If you're going to be building up your car, get a Spec III clutch. I got mine on Thunder Racing last week. Pretty good price too

And I wanted to throw in that you should never use 1st gear as a kickdown gear (downshifting to slow down). It wasn't meant/built to handle it.

I don't plan on building up the car at all. So should I just get another stock one or something else? I don't plan on building up the car at all. So should I just get another stock one or something else? I don't use first gear to slow down with just so I have it in gear when I leave the stop sign.

Thanks
Adam
