Default Hydraulics wont bleeed 2002 m6

Replaced everything, rod connected to master, hoses connected, bleeder open, nothing coming out or fluid level going down. Do I have to have the boot and lid closed on reservoir?

Used a vacuum pump and the fluid flows through the system but no pressure yet. If the system was empty, does the clutch pedal go to the floor and stay there and half way up the spring returns it. My spring is new but not sure its working correctly.

The FSM warns not to vacuum bleed the system. You have to use a pressure cap and supply positive pressure at the reservoir if you want to bleed by yourself.

Wonder why the danger to vacuum. On the pressure cap, how to you refill it, such a small amount.

Maybe it sucks fluid out the top and around the air pocket in the caliper? (vs. forcing the caliper to fill from the hose and push everything out from lower in the caliper)

I tried making my own pressure bleeder like in this video once but it wasn't so great. I ended up buying one of the aftermarket kits with proper gaskets for the task. (I also just fill-bleed-fill, use my air compressor, and skip the bottle like is shown in the video.)
