Help... Come to a complete stop. Put car in first and start driving. Go first into second and on up to 3rd, 4th, and 5th as normal. Seems fine. Now try to downshift from 3rd back into 2nd. Trans wont let you. Come to complete stop. Go from 1st to 2nd, now try to downshift back to first and it grinds. Seems my problem lies with 1st and 2nd. If i pull it out of whatever gear im in and coast to complete stops, then put in 1st its fine. Shifting from 1st to 2nd feels a little funny. Sitting in neutral if you push the shifter to the right it springs back. Push it to the left and it doesnt want to come back. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Im thinking of trying to find a TCS 6spd at a salvage yard instead of rebuilding it. Any thoughts on that would also be appreciated.
