Default What Termec trans can I use with a LM7 engine.

Hello,
I have seen all different type of Termec transmission but I do not know which ones will work for my application. Would anyone have a list of 5 or 6 speed trans I can use. Thank you.

I’m using a Lm7 5.3 engine out of a 2001-2 Tahoe. It’s going in a 64 olds.

If you want to run a t-56 then run one out of an ls1 f-body, they are the most versitile in swaps. Gto's might be similar but I think the shifter needs to be swapped to an f-body style. You could also get one out of a vette and swap the bellhousing and shifter.

Not sure on t5 stuff but I am sure quick time makes a bellhousing to bolt one up to an ls motor.

TKO 500/600, T56 Magnum, F body T56, GTO T56 (they have wide ratio gears). All of these require transmission tunnel modifications. There is also the Richmond 5 speed. No tunnel mods needed.
