OP...if you will really be above 850 TQ "at the wheels"...you should look into a triple disc clutch. Your wallet will likely explode
With the kind of power you will make organic disc clutch is out of the ? so ceramic or other more aggressive friction material will be needed.
IIRC McLeod was the first clutch company to come up with a street car twin disc aka "Street Twin" back in the 60's. Like you I have a Street Twin in my LT1 car and absolutely love it. Should have gone with it before buying Zoom (Kevlar), SPEC (ceramic), Competition Clutch (DF disc)….all "initially" held to my 383 but within a year died. Granted I did track the car and run a tire but only made 400ish RWHP/TQ.
I would contact Billy @ McLeod and discuss your goals for a twin.
If your primary use will not be at a prepped track running a tire with high RPM clutch dumps.....The RXT will be fine as on the street you will just boil tires before you over tax the RXT if you do have 1k HP/TQ on street tires

I ran the RXT for years with over 1000wtq in a 4000lb car without a single issue. Upgraded to RXT1200 when the RXT finally needed replacing (never had an issue, just friction surfaces were out of spec from being old/hard use) and it has no issues at all either. I wouldn't hesitate.

I run the RXT 1200HD twin disc also making well over 1000rwtq and shifting above 7500rpm. It holds 22psi in 5th gear without issues on a 100% stock T56 Magnum with 3.31 gears out back (8.8" solid). This clutch drives awesome.
My engine made 1060rwhp/1050rwtq on 14psi (Precision 88mm on a build LS9 block/MAST LS3 heads/LS3 stock intake. I'm not sure what it makes at 22psi; however it pulls like a freight train that is for sure.

For those making over 1,000 RWTQ, how often do you launch hard with sticky tires? Any clutch will have a longer life if not launched hard with traction. Rolling into a a gear and then giving it WOT is not nearly the abuse level as tracking the car with that kind of torque with traction.
That being said, if you guys have done this a bit and still had good results, then this gives me hope I'll be fine and will be able to run the Mcleod also.

I run my car at 7-10 track days a year, in which I try to make between 6-8 passes per day, 2-step launching at 4100rpm (give or take) on a Hoosier slick. Typically see mid 1.4x 60's. Again, 4000+ lb car, and I've not once had the RXT or the RXT1200 slip, act funny, smell, cause shifting issues or any of that nonsense (typically shifting around 7500rpm, and may bump that up this year). That's been my experience with them, and I beat the **** out of it. I'm not sure what power it makes now, but whatever it takes to propel 4000lbs to 164mph in 1320'. It's a fair amount! This is also on top of street beatings, which as you mention are far less stressful on it than the track, to the point that I think it's almost irrelevant

My personal experience with McLeod makes me never want to buy another one. I did buy from WS6store and their customer service is always great and have been doing business with them for many years. So this is no fault of theirs.
But the issue was with McLeod. After a year of going back and forth, R&R the trans 9 times, them blaming Tick (who built the trans), then it was and old style gold ring, then this, then that, then finally they said it was the pressure plate. So after the 3rd time of sending it back they sent my pressure plate back "rebuilt" and instead of a nice soft pedal feel of a twin disc, it feels like a stage 10 clutch.
But the next clutch going in when I get back to this project again will be a Monster twin. I've installed many of these in others cars and had zero issues and range from 400hp to 800hp cars.
This is only my personal experience. Some have good reviews some bad. But from my research, its a 50/50.
